Sr. Accountant (Cash)

We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to oversee Cash impacting Octane’s financial statements. This role is responsible for developing process and controls ensuring accurate expenses reporting and reconciliation of associated general ledger accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for preparing the daily Cash Position Report detailing prior day cash balances and significant cash movements
• Assist with Treasury Operations such as reviewing current bank balances to ensure sufficient funds and setting up internal transfers when necessary
• Document and communicate returned checks, refunds, payment misallocations, and auction sale proceeds to the Servicing team
• Responsible for completing bank account reconciliations across six banks and downloading respective bank statements at month end
• Reconcile the funding account and escalate any funding issues to the funding team
• Download monthly Merchant Reports and provide them to the Loan Accountant
• Own month end reconciliations and investigate and resolve any differences
• Review month end cash variances and provide explanations for significant month over month variances
• Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy and identify automation opportunities

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration – Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 5+ years of general accounting experience strongly preferred or equivalent relevant experience
• Experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Understanding of NetSuite and FloQast is a plus
• CPA, CPA-candidate a plus

Compensation: The role described above offers a base salary of $70,000 to $90,000.  Your offer will be based on the alignment of your qualifications with the requirements of the job and internal equity.  In addition to the above-mentioned salary, Total Rewards include a stock option package, and benefits as outlined below.
