ABOUT THIS POSITION

The role of the Senior Accounting Analyst is to perform calculations related to monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes including but not limited to manual journal entry preparation account reconciliation and preparation of related monthly calculations. In this role the individual would be involved in acquisition and integration related projects including system integrations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Collect, analyze and manage quantitative data to create meaningful reports and financial statement schedules
  • Perform complex calculations related to management estimates and other required analysis
  • Help implement new accounting technologies to further maximize the department's automation

  • Preparation of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Calculate internal and partner commissions
  • Aid on special projects related to integration, transactions, system upgrades and other projects as they arise
  • Provide analytical support to Finance and Accounting Management GL integration projects

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Bachelor of Arts or Sciences - Accounting or Business with an Accounting emphasis. CPA or CPA track preferred

  • Public Accounting Experience a plus
  • If no Public Accounting Experience 3 years + accounting experience
  • High Intermediate to Advanced skills in Excel required
  • Must be able to interact with C-Level employees
  • Must be organized and self-motivated to follow instructions with minimal direction

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of NetSuite software a plus
  • Knowledge of Salesforce software a plus
  • Knowledge of Coupa Solutions a plus

This role is located in SLC, Louisville, Mid-town Atlanta or Duluth.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Finance & Accounting teams at Waystar manage, track, and analyze all financial activity across the company. From billing and budgeting to pricing and reporting, the department drives the fiscal stability of Waystar and fosters future growth. Team members play a crucial role in invoicing and collecting from customers, determining product pricing, forecasting, modeling, and planning financial outcomes, including potential mergers and acquisitions. The Finance & Accounting department utilizes Netsuite, Coupa and Microsoft Power BI for financial reporting, AP and AR management, budgeting, and custom reporting.
