About the role
Moov is looking to bring on a Senior Accounting Manager to support our continued growth and own the month end close process and other financial reporting duties. This is high impact, high visibility work that is fundamental to our success, as we open new lines of revenue and enter new geographies.
Our approach at MOOV is one of customer oriented focus and iteration. We will deeply understand customer/market needs, test new ideas quickly and in a structured manner, and scale based on results. You will join a motivated team of finance and accounting professionals with CPA’s, audit experience, MBA’s, and high growth tech start-up experience.
You will
- Own the month end process including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and all the relevant schedules
- Assist with audit preparation with external auditors and tax & R&D tax credit prep with our tax firm
- Ensure financials statements are prepared in accordance to GAAP and financial reporting summaries are sent to management within 2 weeks of the month end
- Work side by side with finance operations Senior Manager to ensure processes and procedures are top notch
- Work cross functionally with department leaders handling ad hoc projects, and ensuring compliance to our financial policies
- Have the opportunity to move quickly with a high degree of ownership
You have
- 7+ years of finance or accounting experience
- Experience in high growth tech start-ups and/or Big 4 audit experience
- Willingness and desire to learn, low ego, and proactively take ownership
- A detail oriented nature, but also the ability to zoom out and prioritize projects
- Experience developing processes / spreadsheets from scratch
- Excellent cross functional verbal and written communication skills
