CoreWeave is searching for a Sr. Accounting Manager or Director of Accounting (depending on experience) who will be excited to take on new challenges for a company rapidly approaching IPO. The candidate will have exposure to every aspect of CoreWeave’s accounting function and will take a leadership role in building the team out in preparation for a public transaction.
About the role:Â
Prepare the Company for a near-term IPO transaction by improving internal controls with an eye toward SOX complianceÂ
Drive constant improvement of accounting policies while writing & updating the relevant memos for Revenue, Expenses, PPE, Equity, Leases, Debt, Investments, etc.Â
Interpret new accounting guidance and implement necessary changes to align with business operationsÂ
Write technical accounting memos for complex transactions: Equity, Debt, Business Combination, etc.Â
Review complex customer contracts to verify revenue recognition, billing schedules, and deferred revenue
Assemble consolidated financial statements from multiple subsidiary entities with limited controller oversight, including both indirect and direct cash flow statements
Manage annual financial statements audit at PCAOB level of scrutiny; interact with external auditors and manage internal team to ensure on-time delivery PBC itemsÂ
Drive month-end close to <5 business days
Oversee AP/AR, General Ledger, and support the Controller in technical accounting matters and the CFO in cash flow management & forecastingÂ
Work with staff to ensure monthly FS variances are explained and discrepancies are addressed
Review Balance Sheet reconciliations and roll-forwards to ensure all BS items are reconciled on a monthly basis
Accelerate the professional growth of junior and mid-career accounting staff
Review, edit, and approve junior and mid-career accountants’ work to ensure proper accounting treatment and allocation of expenses to various departments
Work with external tax consultants to provide relevant information for tax filings & tax provisions, and collaborate with Controller/General Counsel/HR Manager to ensure compliance with state & local filing obligationsÂ
Assist Controller and CFO with ad hoc reporting and financial analysis
Your Experience:
12+ years of experience with a demonstrated passion for conquering accounting challenges and bringing order from chaosÂ
Superlative technical accounting & analytical skills, which allow you to connect the problematic dots and form holistic, scalable solutionsÂ
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skillsÂ
CPA strongly preferredÂ
Ability to multitask and stay organized yet remain flexible in a fast and dynamic work environmentÂ
NetSuite accounting software experience is a plus, with an understanding of Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, and Revenue Recognition modules
Leadership/mentorship mentality that inspires a strong attention to detail among junior and mid-career accounting staff
Data-driven with a strong analytical mindset
Proactive with the ability to anticipate and avoid problems before they ariseÂ

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $135,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $175,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
