Job Description

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Accounts Payable Associate processes high profile or escalated invoices and refunds in collaboration with FirstKey Homes team members and vendors. They are the lead in training and mentoring team members with day-to-day processing to ensure departmental SLA’s are met and enhance overall team output.  Senior Accounts Payable Associates are point of contact with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies and statement reconciliation, coupled with special projects as assigned by leadership.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

·         Point of contact and communicates with vendors regarding invoice adjustments and partner with them to ensure errors are corrected.

·         Train and mentor team members to ensure they understand systems, procedures, and policies.

·         Cross train team members on various roles to enhance their skillset and departmental capabilities.

·         Update and document daily productivity reports.

·         Attend daily meetings to provide updates to team members and management

·         Code and process invoices using Yardi to ensure payment was approved.

·         Extract data from Yardi and pull it into Microsoft Excel for analysis and review.

·         Troubleshoot invoices that are not entered in Yardi correctly.

·         Assist leadership with the creating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

·         Process invoices and refunds in collaboration with vendors and internal team members.

·         Lead and coordinate a group of peers to complete projects assigned by leadership.

WORKING CONDITIONS

·         Primarily working indoors, office environment.

·         May sit for several hours at a time.

·         Prolonged exposure to computer screens.

·         Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

·         Associates/bachelor’s degree preferred.  High School Diploma with minimum years of experience

·         Minimum 5 years’ experience in AP role with high volume processing

·         Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

·         Experience with auditing records, invoices, and processes.  Knowledge of calculating basic math computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

·         Experience training and mentoring others on work duties

·         Experience using Yardi Voyager or similar property management program

·         Experience working in property management, real estate or similar industry

·         Experience working in a fast pace, high-growth company

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE
