Sr. Advanced Wireless Software Engineer for Intermec TechnologiesCorporation in Fort Mill, SC

Responsibilities:

Design, develop and maintain the customized android framework to run the applications seamlessly on Honeywell mobility edge devices.

Design and develop device firmware, software test applications, performance standards, and test environments to ensure embedded radio technologies meet industry and internal specifications using C/C++ and Java languages, and will define application programming interfaces and underlying relationships amongst software components of Honeywell mobility edge devices distributed system such as lower-level software, middleware - core framework and graphical user interface.

Moreover, architect and implement new features to satisfy the customer requirements, improving product performance, and resolving customer related field issues.

Provide bug fixing support for any issue reported after feature completion and verification.

Perform unit and integration testing of module/feature developed.

Analyze root cause and fix the issues related to android subsystems.

Participate in daily scrum meetings for project issue discussion.

Attend customer meetings and debug issues and provide solutions.

Follow agile development methodologies.

YOU MUST HAVE:

Qualified applicants must have aBachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, ComputerEngineering, Electronics, or a related field, and 5 years of experience inembedded software development using Java, C/C++, Android Frameworks, AndroidOS, Android Application Development. Minimum 1 year experience in Android HAL,Android Telephony. Up to 5% international and domestic travel required.Telecommuting permitted up to two (2) times per week.Additional Information
