Sr. AI Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development and optimization of AI systems for human behavior and scene understanding 
• Work closely with other technology departments to deploy,monitor and supportAI services in hundreds of stores 
• Promote and enforce best practices in software development, project management, and research 
• Mentor engineers and contribute to create a collaborative remote team environment, leading the team’s knowledge-sharing efforts
• Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in AI to assess their potential application in current and future projects 
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align technology solutions with business goals, gather feedback, and report progress 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field 
• 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer 
• Proficiency in Python 
• Proven experience in leading AI projects, with a focus on computer vision 
• Expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision algorithms and frameworks
• Excellent leadership, communication, and management skills 

Additional Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Golang 
• Experience with gRPC and Protobuf 
• Experience with containerized applications, Kubernetes and Docker 
• Experience in a fast-paced, product-driven startup environment 
• Experience in the autonomous retail industry or a similar domain 
• Experience in MLOps, DevOps, build/release/deployment automation
