Sr. Algorithm Engineer

Job Description

Algorithm engineers at Ambarella research and develop next-generation computer vision algorithms in a wide variety of our future products. We offer a unique opportunity to push the envelope of algorithm design and collaborate across a broad set of disciplines in a small-company environment. Leveraging the capabilities of our hardware and software tool stack, engineers develop fast and accurate deep neural networks that solve complex problems common in autonomous driving and more general computer vision applications.

Responsibilities:

• Research and study of cutting-edge computer vision solutions.
• Develop state-of-the-art computer vision algorithms for our next generation applications.
• Develop data auto-labeling pipeline to scale up our data processing capability.
• Develop hardware-compatible computer vision algorithms that achieve optimal efficiency on our hardware platform.

Requirements:

• PhD or Master in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3~5 years of research and hands-on experience in deep learning and its applications to computer vision. (e.g. object detection and tracking, segmentation, stereo matching, optical flow).
• Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++ and CUDA.
• Extensive experience with PyTorch , Tensorflow or similar platforms
• Experience in research of convolutional neural network, recurrent neural network, or reinforcement learning is a strong plus.
• Experience in docker usage for model/service deployment is a plus.
• Experience in porting computer vision algorithms to embedded systems and optimizing code for such platforms is a plus.
