Job Overview:

The Senior Analyst of Advanced Analytics will be a team member within the Insurance Associates team. The Insurance Associates provide support to advisors who provide financial planning solutions to investors. The advisor will help individuals examine their immediate and long-term investment and financial planning needs and help design insurance solutions that best meet their individual financial goals. This is a team-based call center environment that deliver insurance consultation and guidance over the phone.

Your role will be essential to creating visibility to various business metrics critical to the success of these new services. In the role, you’ll develop a well-rounded understanding of business health, operations, and profitability for the agency, as you connect the dots and communicate key insights to leadership. While reporting is a key component of this role, you’ll also have opportunities to create, finding compelling ways of communicating key business insights through visualization. This role offers an opportunity for growth as the business grows, strengthening various skills in analytics, business understanding and communicating.

Responsibilities:

  • Business health reporting: keep your “fingers on the pulse” by tracking & forecasting key business metrics, connecting back to business objectives and identifying opportunities/risks

  • Operational data: organize, manage and provide data essential to business operations

  • Data storytelling: extract and tailor insights for various leadership audiences, communicating clearly through reports, visualizations and presentations

  • Creating clarity & efficiency: whether it’s leveraging a more meaningful metric, improving the visual format, summarizing, streamlining a script, or automating an interactive dashboard, find new ways of communicating key business information more clearly and efficiently

  • Project management: take ownership of assigned analytics scope, working through ambiguity and collaborating cross-functionally to find value-added solutions and drive work to completion

  • Teamwork & adaptation: with other experienced analytics resources on the team, together we continue to evolve our analytics alongside this quickly growing business, pivoting strategically when necessary, testing creative approaches, and continuously building our skillsets

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Mathematics, Finance, Business or related discipline

  • 2+ years experience supporting a business with analytics; financial services and insurance knowledge is a plus

  • Basic SQL to fetch data and basic Python to transform/analyze large datasets

  • Crafting reports and presentations in Microsoft Powerpoint

  • Basic modeling and forecasting in Microsoft Excel, with opportunity to grow this skill and build more sophisticated forecast models in future

Preferences:

  • Strong business reasoning: extracting key insights from data and connecting to big picture

  • Experience with organizing data and creating visualizations in Jupyter Notebooks, Microsoft Excel & Smartsheet

  • Experience building interactive dashboards with Tableau Prep/Desktop/Server is a plus

  • Experience working with CRM data, Salesforce preferred.

  • Clear written and verbal communication, tailoring content appropriately to a given audience

  • Collaborative: you’ll need to virtually liaise with various LPL experts (Finance, Sales, data scientists…) to obtain a well-rounded understanding of the business

  • Logical, organized, attentive to detail, self-starter, critical thinker, problem solver


 

Pay Range:

$66,100.00 - $110,100.00


 

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
