Sr. Analyst, Agency Lending - Boston
The Role:
The Sr. Analyst, Agency Lending position works directly with numerous internal Fidelity business divisions and external counterparties to ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of the daily securities lending transactions.
- By providing support you will perform accurate lending transactions. Any discrepancies are identified and resolved to avoid potential regulatory violations relating to possession and control or collateral management requirements
- By monitoring and managing the daily recalls and reallocations of loaned securities, we look to maximize the interest income earned for Fidelity Agency Lending clients.
- By reviewing and reconciling any billing discrepancies and working with counterparties to settle breaks in a timely manner to properly post monthly client income based on the previous month's activity.
- Vigilantly and continuously trying to identify areas of improvement and be a part of developing the plan to implement change. This is a critical component to the role.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
- Series 7 preferred (if not currently registered, such exam must be passed within six months of hire)
- Brokerage experience, preferably in international trading and settlements or middle/back-office operations
- Strong preference for Securities Lending experience at either an Agent or Custodial Lender
- Must have effective communication and relationship building skills
- Must be a detail oriented individual, capable of growing in a fast paced environment
- Understanding of domestic and international equity, fixed income, and derivative products
- Ability to make timely decisions in relation to risk and regulatory implications.
- Demonstrated desire and interest to learn all aspects of market space
The Team
The Fidelity Agency Lending Middle Office plays a meaningful role in working alongside the securities lending traders to provide critical operational support for the daily lending activity. We will also work collaboratively with our back office teams, settlements as well as external counterparties including custodians and borrowing entities.

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs. Currently, most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of one assigned week per four-week period (beginning in September 2024, the requirement will be two full assigned weeks).
