What We’re Looking For: 

We are seeking a Sr. Analyst, Financial Reporting to join our company. The Sr. Analyst responsibilities will include preparing SEC filings, monthly JE’s, recons, increase efficiency and accuracy of the quarterly tie out binder, and ensuring all assigned SOX control tasks are completed. The ideal candidate will have worked in a successful high-growth public company and can bring such experiences to Skillz as we continue to define the future of esports and mobile gaming. The role reports to the company’s Director, Accounting and SEC Reporting.

What You Will Do: 

• Work closely with the Director of Accounting and SEC reporting to prepare 10-Q and 10-K filings

• Complete quarterly flux analysis for both internal and external auditors

• Prepare monthly JE's and reconciliations

• Revamp the quarterly tie out process

• Ensure all assigned SOX control tasks and are completed and documented timely

Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

• Thorough understanding of accounting principles and SOX best practices

• 2+ years of SEC reporting experience

• Advanced knowledge of excel and hands on experience with Workiva (w-desk)
