Senior Analyst, Healthcare Economics
The main function of this role is to lead financial analyses and all things data for new business. While the Senior Analyst, Healthcare Economics will primarily work with Strategy in Development, they will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with other areas as well (Finance, Ops, Data/Tech). This role will play a key part in defining the future of the organization.
Essential Functions
- Ingest, clean, and transform healthcare data to analyze cost and utilization metrics from medical claims to assess the financial opportunity for both the client and Strive in partnering
- Develop, maintain, and improve a variety of standard and ad hoc analytics and reporting using large data sets, particularly healthcare claims and eligibility information
- Create pro formas to align with deal structures and run scenario testing to understand sensitivity around partnerships
- Identify, communicate, and lead the resolution of data gaps that impede the fulfilment of operational reporting and oversight
- Develop visualizations in PowerPoint to translate results from analyses into a story
- Effectively communicate findings and present to a variety of audiences including both internal and external executives
- Participate as subject matter expert in data extraction and analysis to support strategic decision making (i.e., staffing decisions, contracting, provider outreach)
- Work both independently and collaboratively with different business units in a fast-paced environment as well as part of a team focused on complex financial modeling
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Math, or relevant field
- 3+ years’ experience in healthcare data analysis in a consulting environment
- Business travel (optional 1-2 times a year)
- Internet Connectivity - Min Speeds: 3.8Mbps/3.0Mbps (up/down): Latency <60 ms
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- 3+ years’ experience analyzing medical claims, lab data, EMR data and clinical dataÂ
- High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SQL
- Experience in Commercial, Medicaid and Medicare analysis preferred
- Experience with CMS shared savings programs strongly preferred
- Entrepreneurial spirit and comfort in ambiguity; desire to be a self-starter
Annual Salary Range: $83,700.00-$101,500.00
