Work Location and Arrangement: This role will be based out of the Richmond, VA Home Office and have a Hybrid work arrangement

Work Authorization: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Analyst, Mail Operations will primarily be focused on Mail Operations systems administration and reporting for CarMax. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for creating and launching a new reporting platform for analysis of trends and opportunities within the department. This position requires in-depth knowledge and analytics experience and uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business processes to improve products or services. The Senior Analyst will serve as a Mail Operations subject matter expert while partnering with others to address and implement key organizational initiatives.

Key areas of focus will include:

• Aid in maintaining strong relationships with 3rd party vendors and internal departments of CarMax.
• Overseeing system administration optimization within Mail Operations and partnering across the stores/field to release new solutions.
• Analyzing cost/benefits of different consolidation opportunities and shipping methods within Small Parcel classifications.
• Research and implement best practices as a subject matter expert surrounding CarMax's Mail Operations Systems.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Mail Operations

• Act as a subject matter expert for CarMax's Mail Operations analytics, consulting with key business partners on strategic opportunities and priorities. Act as a liaison between the Stores/SMEs and Home Office.
• Responsible for assessing and addressing Mail Operations problems.

Systems, Data Reporting & Analytics

• Establish a reporting platform for the department. Responsible for the design, test and configuration of select reporting drills in addition to troubleshooting reporting escalations. Responsible for effective communication to internal/external customers and vendors.
• Provide production support of CarMax's Mail Operations Systems.
• Assist in the development and creation of training and communication tools related to the use of CarMax's Mail Operations systems. Some of these tools include but may not be limited to store or department communications, job aides, Standard Work and process documents that support the continued education efforts departmentally and within our stores.
• Partner with CarMax's 3rd party vendors, IT, Business Operations (Stores), and all Home Office departments when creating / changing core configuration of any CarMax's Mail Operations processes.

• Project Management Support

Lead all aspects of specific projects or phases of a larger project, ensuring adequate support is provided to Business Partners and timely completion of projects.

Continuous Improvement

• Recommend and implement solutions to improve Mail Operations processes by leveraging experience and in-depth knowledge of Mail Operations Systems administration.
