Major Duties
• Build effective vendor relationships with our largest and most critical vendors, aligning Technology priorities, vendor incentives, and strategic goals
• Design global IT vendor strategies by collaborating with Technology and BU leaders to understand goals and priorities that vendors can accelerate or enable
• Identify opportunities for enhancing vendor relationships or improving efficiencies across Technology
• Coordinate negotiation strategies with IT executives, procurement, and other stakeholders
• Mediate issues as needed for in-scope vendors
• Oversee risk and regulatory reporting for in-scope vendors to ensure effective risk management and compliance
• Design and drive long term roadmaps for external suppliers
• Facilitate quarterly business reviews with NT partners and vendor leadership to align on strategies and opportunities
• Keep a pulse on changing technologies at Northern Trust and understand vendors who are able to best support NT's technology goals
• Understand external emerging technologies, regulatory/Risk concerns and how they affect with Technology's roadmap
Skills
• Demonstrated experience managing strategic relationships, either as a service provider or client
• Skilled at designing service or technology roadmaps/processes
• Familiar with general technology principles and delivery lifecycle to inform negotiations and governance
• Comfortable presenting to senior executives
