Sr. Analytics Engineer

Position:                    Sr. Analytics Engineer – BI

Responsibilities:       Scale internal BI platform and other insight products that are offered to clients and partners. Build on data foundation that provides meaningful insights for the business through strategic analysis and reporting. Leverage engineering methods and best practices to deliver well-defined, tested, documented, and code-reviewed data sets. Work with Data Science, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, and Product teams to understand and guide the data that underlies our metrics. Help plan, define, and build models such as marketing attribution, pricing and inventory optimization, and customer affinity. Work across functions in the organization and with clients and partner with them to understand and address their data and analysis needs. Help define strategy, best practices, and the roadmap for Analytics Engineering at AXS. Drive complex problems through to solutions. Work closely with Data Science team to identify and integrate new data sources. The position is headquartered in Los Angeles, CA.

Educ./experience:    Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Science, or a related field and two (2) years of post-baccalaureate experience working with data analysis. Experience must include knowledge of best practices with data, including hygiene, modeling, testing, and monitoring. Experience must also include the ability to define core data models, Git, Snowflake, dbt, SQL, and LookML.
