The CDSEM Applications Engineer reports to the Nanotechnology Group Application Manager and will be responsible for supporting all CDSEM customers in North America in effectively utilizing their tool install base to maximum capability. This will include training, best known methods (BKMs), as well as special project leadership and support. The desired candidate will have the knowledge and experience to drive solutions of challenging issues both as a team leader as well as individually.

Responsibilities include:

• Support installed products at customer sites working with customer tool owners in North America to maximize the tool performance
• Support new products installation including SW at customer site for acceptance, publish the documents and training to tool owners
• Tackle the customer and tool challenge. Determine the clear problem statement, analyze the data, and find out the solution timely. Drive the task force including document publication and effective communication externally with customers and internally with Advantest nano tech group as needed
• Develop and publish for new application BKM
• Engage in CIP. Determine the tool capability and describe the area of improvement for future's product or SW.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelors or master's degree in physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

This position is for an experienced senior level engineer but entry-level are welcome to apply.

• Strong work independency ability.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all job levels both internally and with customers.
• Excellent computer skills including MS PowerPoint and Excel.
• Excellent data analysis skills, preferably with the basic knowledge of probability, statistic, and data visualization.
• Excellent skill of report publication including clear statement of the problem statement and its goal within timeline.
• Basic knowledge of physics and image processing
• Basic knowledge of semiconductor fabrication process

• Scanning Electron Microscope
• Matlab, VBA programming capabilities
