The Sr. Architect - IAM (Identity and Access Management) is responsible for overseeing and managing the Cepheid's IAM and PKI system used for a user & device authentication process. The Sr. Architect - IAM is also responsible for ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations related to access management, including PAM, and will be playing a crucial role in research and evaluation of emerging technologies and strategic planning based on company objectives to keep it in line with new developments in the space.

This remote position is part of the IT Infrastructure and Operations department which may require traveling to the HQ in Sunnyvale, CA. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Oversee the organization's IAM and PKI systems to ensure those are functioning efficiently and effectively. Develop, implement, and maintain IAM policies, procedures, and standards.
• Monitor, manage and troubleshoot issues related to IAM/PKI systems, including access and authorization issues and mitigate potential security risks.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and regulations related to access management.
• Conduct regular security audits of the IAM system to identify and address any vulnerabilities or gaps. Collaborate with other IT teams, such as network, security, and application development teams, to ensure the integration of IAM processes into other systems.
• Keep up to date with industry trends and new IAM and PKI technologies to ensure the organization's systems are up to date. Develop a process for orchestration of routing tasks and processes in accordance with industry best practices and documentation.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ of IT experience with minimum of 5 years of IAM (Identity Access Management) experience.
• Experience with IAM systems, such as Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, PKI.
• Experience of IAM systems and technologies, including identity management, access control, and user authentication.
• Experience of security policies, regulations, and compliance requirements related to access management.
• Proven experience in negotiation and management of third-party vendors.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Proficient in various scripting/programming languages, such as PowerShell, Python.
• Familiar with PKIaaS, PAM solutions, Jira, Confluence, Git, CI/CD.
• Experienced with Azure AD B2B and the Workday to AAD accounts provisioning process.

The annual salary range role is ($140-150k). This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
