What You Will Do
We are looking for a highly creative, innovative, and analytically-driven designer to bring the Chomps brand to life through all aspects of design! You will be responsible for the creation and production of marketing, sales, digital, and print assets. As the first in-house designer you will be a lead role on projects in creating concepts, comps, layouts, and visual images, bringing the brand visual identity to life. You will report to the Creative Director and work closely with the entire marketing and sales team to ensure your efforts stay connected to the efforts of the company. You bring a holistic, omnichannel approach across all marketing channels and ensure everything is in sync and on brand in an evolving and growing visual branding guide and product portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Primary graphic designer within the Chomps brand and creative team
  • Design and production of a variety of digital and print projects, including but not limited to, website, social media graphics, email/sms, performance media, point of sale and merchandising material, sales and marketing collateral
  • Strong expertise in digital and social platforms and types of creative most appropriate for each (ie. graphics, design, photography, animation, illustration, stop-motion)
  • Design and production of Chomps packaging design, including maintaining current layouts as well as new product innovation. Experience with FDA regulatory a plus
  • Conceptualize visuals based on collaborative brainstorming sessions - owning projects from kickoff through completion and working closely with key marketing and business stakeholders
  • Provide creative oversight on video and social media executions
  • Develop creative solutions to improve ad performance through a data-driven test and learn approach
  • Maintain brand guidelines and consistently keep up to date on key trends
  • Organize and maintain digital asset management tool (Bynder) to ensure the entire Chomps team and external partners are using the appropriate assets at any given time
  • Partner with outside creative, photography / video agencies and internal team members
  • Closely collaborate with eCommerce team on Chomps.com DTC and Wholesale website. Work hand in hand to design and execute dedicated landing pages, marketing pages, or improve core onsite design
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills
  • As part of the Chomps team, you will help support critical strategic business initiatives

Who You Are

  • Bachelors degree in Graphic Design or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in an in-house creative department or design firm
  • Food & Beverage, food styling is a plus
  • Expert knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. Experience with HTML and motion graphics preferred
  • Background in photography preferred, with photography and social video capture skills
  • Stay up to date on trends within graphic design and digital technologies
  • Work quickly and manage prioritization under tight deadlines in a fun, collaborative team environment
  • Outstanding communication (both verbal and written). Ability to communicate ideas and concepts clearly
  • Review work in an objective manner and with the aid of analytics, and apply learnings to future work
  • Experience with Figma, Shopify, Klayvio, Digital Asset Management tool preferred but not required
