Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Atlassian and Jira Consultant with expertise in service management and IT service management (ITSM). The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in architecting, building, developing, and implementing solutions within the Atlassian suite, particularly Jira. They will be responsible for integrating and implementing client processes effectively to enhance service management capabilities. This role requires a deep understanding of ITSM principles, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions that meet client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their service management needs and requirements.
- Design and architect solutions leveraging the Atlassian suite, particularly Jira, to meet client objectives.
- Develop customized workflows, fields, screens, and reports within Jira to optimize service management processes.
- Implement best practices for ITSM using Jira Service Management, including incident management, problem management, change management, and service request management.
- Integrate Jira with other tools and systems within the client's environment, such as monitoring tools, asset management systems, and collaboration platforms.
- Provide expert guidance and recommendations to clients on optimizing their service management processes using Atlassian tools.
- Configure and customize Jira plugins and add-ons to extend its functionality as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience working as an Atlassian/Jira Consultant or similar role, with a focus on service management and ITSM.
- In-depth knowledge of Jira and other Atlassian products, including Jira Service Management, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
- Strong understanding of ITSM frameworks such as ITIL, and experience implementing ITSM processes within Jira.
- Experience with Jira customization including workflows, fields, screens, and permission schemes.
- Proficiency in Jira API integration and scripting (e.g., using REST API, groovy scripts).
- Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to develop innovative solutions.
- Atlassian certification(s) such as Atlassian Certified Professional (ACP) or Atlassian Certified Master (ACM) is preferred.
