Role and Responsibilities:

- Lead the design and implementation of scalable applications on AWS ensuring robustness and efficiency.

- Develop high-quality maintainable code in Python focusing on payment processing systems.

- Utilize Snowflake for efficient data storage and retrieval enhancing data-driven decision-making.

- Write optimized SQL queries to interact with databases ensuring data integrity and performance.

- Manage Unix-based systems ensuring secure and efficient operations.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.

- Implement best practices in software development including code reviews testing and documentation.

- Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in the Cards & Payments domain applying insights to improve our systems.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues ensuring high system availability and performance.

- Contribute to the optimization of payment processes enhancing transaction speed and reliability.

- Must have a strong foundation in AWS services and architecture.

- Proficiency in Python programming is essential.

- Experience with Snowflake and understanding of its data warehousing capabilities is required.

- Strong SQL skills with the ability to write complex queries and optimize database interactions.

- Knowledge of Unix systems and shell scripting is necessary.

- Domain expertise in Cards & Payments is mandatory with a deep understanding of payment systems and industry standards.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are crucial.

- Effective communication and collaboration skills are required to work with diverse teams.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 04/30/2024.

The annual salary for this position is between $[110,000-$130,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
