Position Summary

We are looking for a Sr. Backend Developer to lead our backend development team. In this role, you will be responsible for owning multiple internal projects, managing a team of developers, project scoping/requirements-gathering and hands-on development. You also have to be up for working in a fun environment with coworkers who want to see you succeed.

Responsibilities

• Manage a small team of developers that will likely grow
• Be a champion of our internal backend tools
• Collaborate with engineering and product development teams
• Enforce good development practices: writing unit tests, documenting code, etc.
• Manage product releases

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Backend Developer (3+ years)
• Proven experience in a lead position (1+ year)
• Proficient in Python (3+ years)
• Familiar with at least one DBMS, Snowflake preferred
• Familiar with container development, e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher (1+ year)
• Comfortable writing SQL
• Problem-solving aptitude
• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field OR 6+ years experience in a data development role
