Sr. Backend PHP/Node.js Engineer (Hybrid)

As part of a multinational team, we are looking for teammates who would be excited to work as a Backend Engineer in PHP and Node.js to contribute to the continuous advancement and maintenance of our platform which is responsible for processing multi-million transactions per year.

Technical Skills

• BSc. or higher degree in relevant science, technology, engineering, or math field is a must
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Proven backend development experience
• Proven experience in developing Node.js/JavaScript/TypeScript/ Express services
• Practical experience in developing REST APIs
• Ability to provide innovative solutions for complex problems with loosely defined requirements
• Experience working in teams of around 10+ people, and leading large-scale, complex projects
• Excellent knowledge of PHP, including the weak and strong points of this language
• Rich experience in relational databases and SQL, preferably MySQL
• Understanding of how to optimize and fine-tune backend applications that use external data sources and dependencies
• Basic understanding of hardware and network capacity planning
• Good understanding of distributed systems and database infrastructure, including caching, sharding, replication and reliability
• Knowledge of *nix console environment
