What will you be doing?
As a Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst, you will take raw datasets and employ the full knowledge discovery cycle, from using basic statistics and building predictive models, to creating intuitive visuals displaying the insights discovered. Your work will enable stakeholders to not only understand their problem, but also give them the tools to take corrective action.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Master use of data visuals to display trends, insights discovered in data analysis, and talking points for leaders to take to their teams to improve team performance
  • Manage multiple reports, stakeholders, and projects that enable our teams to thrive in a competitive market
  • Ability to deploy your own knowledge on a technical level and apply it to the end solution. For example, you need to know what correlation is and you will need to have the ability to calculate it in Python, Power BI, and/or other systems

Requirements
What we're looking for:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or similar position
  • Intermediate to advanced Power BI skills to create rich data visuals. Must have working knowledge of DAX calculations and data model management
  • Intermediate to advanced Python including use of these packages; pandas, numpy, sci-kit learn (or equivalent), openpyxl (or equivalent)
  • Advanced SQL, including use of CTE's, views, and sub queries
  • Usable knowledge of basic statistics such as use of quartiles, standard deviation, box plots, data distribution and what it means to measure variation to gauge things like consistency, for both numeric and categorical variables
  • Ability to correctly clean a raw dataset in a way appropriate for the chosen method of analysis, from basic to machine learning
  • Ability to remove like outliers and unnecessary columns and knowing why they are unnecessary
  • Fish out and correctly handle errors like nulls, duplicates, and bad data types
  • Normalizing in terms of putting things on the same scale, like making a visual tracking contracts with different start dates, to create an easy way for stake holders to manage an entire business
  • Experience managing multiple high-profile analytics projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable doing ad hoc reports when necessary
  • Cross-collaboration skills
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Provide insights discovered from past work
