Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst (Power BI)

Partnering with business stakeholders and technical partners, our Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst (Power BI) will play a critical role in delivering insights and information needed for critical business decision-making. In this role, you will build and maintain a global data warehouse, work with other IT teams to collect ERP and other structured and unstructured data, and deliver information via front end visualization tools such as Power BI.
How you'd contribute in this role (responsibilities):

• Contribute to and drive a data strategy and governance recommendations to ensure that data solutions are aligned with business goals & objectives
• Partner closely with various functional areas of the business establishing oneself as the SME that understands the business and delivers data & analytics solutions that drive business outcomes
• Partner closely with IT Data Architecture to ensure alignment with enterprise data strategy and roadmap
• Design technical data solutions that deliver near term business needs while advancing the long-term data strategy
• Lead the design and delivery of analytical datamarts and datasets utilized for data mining, data discovery, data science, self-service analytics, reporting, and dashboards
• Coordinate activities across a broad spectrum of stakeholder groups to maximize adoption and re-usability of data solutions
• Play a lead role in ensuring adherence to data governance policies within functional business area
• Play a lead role in strategic data transformation initiatives
• Design and develop complex reports in Power BI using a variety of data sources to improve decision making capability of business users
• Collaborate with business users to understand reporting requirements and define solutions to meet needs, efficiently delivering estimations for complex business scenarios using a solutions-based approach

What we're expecting from you (qualifications):

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of continuing education and work experience
• Advanced proficiency in data analysis and Power BI development6+ years of experience in a data management, data analyst, or data engineering role
• 2+ years of experience in a global, manufacturing business with prior experience working with various ERPs strongly preferred
• 3+ years of experience developing data structures and data preparation workflows; experience developing ETL processes preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of data warehouse, data mart, and data lake principles
• Demonstrated understanding of the collection, curation, preparation of data and development of database assets
• Strong proficiency with SQL is vital to the role, while knowledge of other languages (Python, DAX, M, etc.) is a plus
• Experience developing datasets, reports, dashboards using analytics tools (Power BI preferred)
• Strong ability to present results within and outside of team to users of various technical knowledge; exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an ability to tailor presentations appropriately to a given audience
• Strong track-record of demonstrated constructive, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with an ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively
• Proven ability to develop partnerships at all levels, work collaboratively in a team environment, manage through influence, and establish oneself as a leader / respected SME
• Strong attention to detail
