Biotheranostics, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hologic, Inc., develops and provides molecular-based diagnostic, prognostic, and predictive tests that support physicians in the individualized treatment of cancer patients.

The Sr. Business Systems Analyst is an integral part of this work, collaborating cross-functionally to define, develop, test, and implement system-based functionality that enables order management, sample management, lab execution, patient reporting, and billing processes.

The Sr, Business Systems Analyst will be a key member of the Lab Information System Development team working with end users, internal and external developers, testers, and a Project Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements gathering utilizing standard UML modeling techniques appropriate to the problem to ensure that requirements are well-defined, unambiguous, and actionable.
  • Evaluate business processes for the purpose of identifying functional and non-functional requirements for the development and implementation of solutions.
  • Probe for clarity to ensure requirements address the end-to-end business needs.
  • Document requirements to ensure that alternative workflows are identified for review with end users for completeness.
  • Review requirements with developers to ensure clarity of scope including both pre and post-conditions for a given requirement.
  • Review and approve requirements-based test cases and scenarios for testing, and review results for adherence to requirements.
  • Demo functionality for end users for acceptance.
  • Identify risks associated with requirements implementation.
  • Update, implement, and maintain work procedures.
  • Work to define deliverables, provide effort estimates, and ensure timely completion of tasks or projects
  • Provide implementation support for deployment.
  • Provide production support for end-user issues and update tickets to ensure resolution with clear and complete steps/outcomes.
  • Identify gaps and propose solutions.
  • Keep end-users, developers, testers, project managers, and other stakeholders informed of progress and any potential delays or issues.
  • Provide input on end-user training or SOPs for new functionality.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 7+ years' experience as a business systems analyst.
  • Demonstrated Expertise using UML modeling techniques.
  • Preferred: 5-7 years' experience in systems implementation, clinical laboratory, biotech, pharmaceutical, medical. device, or healthcare industry.

The annualized base salary range for this role is $124,200 to $206,900 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs, and market demand.
