POSITION SUMMARY
In your role as the Sr. Business Systems Analyst, you will support Genworth's top strategic priorities and the critical systems necessary for Genworth to provide exceptional service to our policyholders when they need us most. The person selected will be responsible for enabling the development of LTC Claims Administrative systems and applications, delivering quality solutions to ensure the system can support complex business operations. There are opportunities to participate in all aspects of IT service operations and the software development lifecycle. The role will involve executing application changes involving cross-functional interaction with Business Partners and other IT teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES• As an intent manager for LTC Claims Administration system, lead a Kanban team to develop and implement critical enhancements to support strategic objectives.• Partner with varies business stakeholders and subject matter experts to assess and document business needs.• Elicit and document business requirements and user stories, utilizing business analysis techniques to align solutions.• Deliver analysis artifacts that add value to the organization, including but not limited to, process mapping, data flow diagrams, solution analysis, mockups, and detailed requirements and/or user stories.• Facilitate requirement gathering sessions or walk-throughs, prepare communications and make presentations on system enhancements and/or alternatives.• Contribute to system knowledge management and documentation of application development processes, procedures, and standards• Closely collaborate with the development team as an active, contributing team member driving team deliverables and goals. • Facilitate and contribute to the design and development of quality solutions, holistically supporting the LTC Claims Admin system from development, implementation, maintenance, through support.• Understand upstream and downstream system impacts• Remain current on business processes and partner with business leaders to ensure system solution alignment• Support organizational objectives as it relates to scaling Agile and DevOps across Genworth
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS• College Degree (Associates/Bachelors) and/or 4+ years of relevant professional experience• 3+ years of professional experience as Business Analyst• Demonstrated ability to create business requirements documentation• Demonstrated ability to create business requirement artifacts, including Process Maps, Use Cases, Activity Diagrams, Test Scenarios, etc• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communications to differing audiences including Senior Management and Technical Developers• Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines while working independently• Knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBM) and familiarity with writing and/or interpreting SQL. (T-SQL, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, etc)• Demonstrated ability to assess and problem solve in a fast-paced environment• Intellectually Curious with a Continuous Process improvement mentality• Passion for innovation, continuous improvement, ability to effectively lead and drive change• Ability to be a strong advocate for process and technology improvement• Ability to manage concurrent deadlines and multiple priorities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS• Experience in the LTC Insurance or Financial Services industry• Experience with implementing Agile and DevOps• Working knowledge of ITIL framework• Familiarity with supporting .NET software, Pega and/or OpenText Exstream software
