Sr. Business Systems Analyst - BI Finance (Hybrid)

This is a role within Chamberlain Group's IT Information Services function. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) collaborate with business stakeholders, understand business processes, and elicit, define, and analyze requirements; (ii) design, configure, develop, test, implement, support, and maintain BI applications that enable business processes, focused on SAP BI and related applications. Requires a minimum 5 years' experience in Information Technology, preferably in BI/Analytical applications development or configuration and a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or equivalent.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, configure, develop, test, implement, and support analytical and Business Intelligence applications that enable Finance and related business processes, focused on SAP BI/BOBJ and related applications
• Work with business stakeholders to understand business processes data needs, gaps, pain points, and objectives; elicit, define, and analyze information analysis requirements
• Collaborate with colleagues to define and design proposed analytical and reporting solution that meet requirements and adhere to platform and application design guidelines, strategies, and industry best practices
• Collaborate with BI developers to create functional specifications for analytical development that adheres to design guidelines and industry best practices
• Collaborate with Super Users to create test cases for end-to-end analytical and reporting solutions and system functions, ensuring traceability and coverage of requirements; execute tests; manage Super User test execution; analyze and resolve defects
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to create documentation and training materials; support training delivery and organizational change management
• Support production systems; proactively work to analyze and resolve production problems in a timely manner; resolve end user service requests; participate in production support processes including identification of issue severity, root cause, and path to resolution
• Identify opportunities to leverage information and analysis to improve business processes, and support business digitization efforts. Research and represent industry best practices
• Plan and manage small projects leveraging appropriate project management methodology
• Protect Chamberlain Group's reputation by keeping information confidential.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
• Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
Education/Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or equivalent

Experience:

• Minimum 7 years' experience in Information Technology, preferably BI/BW development
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with SAP BI and BusinessObjects including hands-on development
• Minimum 5 years working with business processes related to Finance. Preferably in a high volume discrete manufacturing environment.
• At least one full lifecycle implementation of SAP DesignStudio (or equivalent) interactive dashboard with Business Performance Metrics

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong skills in data analysis, Business Performance Management, Data Reconciliation and problem analysis, troubleshooting, and technical error resolution.
• Strong Working knowledge of analytics and BI development lifecycles and how to take a solution from concept through design, development, testing, and deployment including release and change management.
• Strong business requirements analysis skills and ability to identify alternative solutions to business analysis problems.
• Strong data analysis skills and ability to translate business analytics and reporting needs into specific requirements and report/visualization designs. able to analyze data to answer business questions and present results to business stakeholders
• Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders; appropriately manages stakeholder expectations, collaborate effectively.
• Project Management: Able to create work breakdown structure and projects plans and manage for on time, on scope and on budget delivery of small projects
• Communicates clearly in both written and verbal communications; able to explain technical solutions to a business person.

Other:

• Able to travel occasionally domestically

Preferred Qualifications
Education/Certifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science

Experience:

• Experience with companies who have vertically integrated manufacturing and supply Chains
• Experience in global environments
• Experience with Financial Planning and Analysis, Accounts Payable & Receivable, General Ledger, Profitability Analysis, etc.
• Experience with SAP BPC, APO, IBP.
• Experience with SAP SAC, Microsoft PowerBI
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies
