Sr. Cable Harness Engineer

You will join a team developing a state-of-the-art general-purpose robot designed to operate in human spaces and with human tools. It is designed to work alongside humans, to walk like humans do, and to dexterously manipulate objects with its hands and upper body.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cable Harness Engineer to design, develop, and test cable harnesses for our products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience in designing and developing cable harnesses for various applications.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop cable harnesses for our products, taking into consideration factors such as wire size, length, and routing
- Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications for cable harnesses
- Select appropriate materials and components for cable harnesses based on the requirements of each application
- Test and troubleshoot cable harnesses to ensure they meet performance standards
- Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure the cable harnesses integrate smoothly into the overall product design
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in cable harness design and technology
- Participate in product design reviews and provide input and recommendations for improving cable harness performance and functionality
Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field, preferred
- 5+ years of experience in designing and developing cable harnesses for various applications
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering principles
- Proficiency in CAD software for designing cable harnesses and creating engineering drawings (Altium or Rapid Harness preferable)
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to cable harness design and testing
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other engineers and stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues with cable harnesses
- Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
