Summary of Role:

The Senior New Homes Community Account Manager (CAM) role is to serve as the main point of contact to SunPower stakeholders and external builder customer-based teams. They act as the subject matter expert from a community launch through the grand opening of a community at which the point will be handed off to a Production CAM to manage through community completion. Th Sr CAM will be responsible for training all builder sales, designers, purchasing and options teams to ensure a smooth handoff as community selling begins. 

Day-to-day responsibilities for Sr CAMs include but are not limited to managing at the community level: collection of necessary information from internal and external teams, coordinating with SunPower sales teams to ensure information is accurate and builder timelines are met, conducting builder training on SunPower solar program, determining cut-offs for homebuyer selections, and ensuring a smooth rollout of new product introductions. 


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages new community launches for all builders and coordinates with SunPower Account Managers to determine specific solar program options, financial product offerings, pricing, and sales cutoff timelines.
  • Facilitate weekly community launch meetings with Account Managers to determine all builder contacts, pricing, grand opening dates and plan required builder training sessions.
  • Participates in new builder training seminars to educate key builder contacts on the process and procedures for the SunPower solar program.
  • Manages new product launches such as battery storage and/or transition to updated models of solar modules. This includes overseeing high-end builder accounts with specialized processes and/or product offerings throughout the entire community life cycle.
  • Manage the model lease transfer process
  • Assists the team supervisor in process development in an effort to create efficiencies in the Production CAM’s day-to-day workload.
  • Supports new hire training and serves as a mentor throughout the onboarding process.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience working in CRM platform like SalesForce to manage production
  • Bachelor’s degree in business economics, construction management or related field 
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with ability to adjust communication style for interactions with sub-contractors, home builders and various internal stakeholders 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to see the big picture, anticipate problems and how they will affect the project team, and proactively address these issues
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years working with photovoltaic systems
  • 3+ years in residential sales management or construction working with various trades

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Able to work upright and stationary and/or standing for working hours
  • Able to communicate, receive, and understand information and ideas with diverse groups of people in a comprehensible and reasonable method
  • Able to position and move objects up to 10 pounds
  • Able to use and learn standard office equipment and technology with proficiency 
  • The position requires travel with potential of overnight stays between assigned facilities and various locations within the community. Less than or equal to 10% travel.
  • Day to day work is completed in the office at personal computer M-F, first shift hours
  • Ambient noise level is usually quiet, consisting of normal conversations, business machines, telephones, but occasionally may be above average for portions of the business day
