Job Description

About Us

Our mission is simple: we want to set people free to do meaningful work. People love our software—and it turns out that people love working here too. We've been recognized as a "Best Company to Work For” and we're proud of our team for creating software that makes an impact in the lives of HR pros and employees all over the world.

What You'll Do

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Compensation Analyst to join our dynamic HR team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and management of our compensation programs. The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of compensation principles, market trends, and regulatory compliance. As a Sr. Compensation Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring our compensation strategies attract and retain top talent while aligning with the organization's overall business objectives. You’ll do this through analyzing detailed market data, creating scalable processes, and partnering with leadership across the organization to implement new strategies.

If you’ve been itching to take part in high-impact compensation projects in a rapidly growing organization where people matter, well then you just might have bumped into your dream role.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive compensation strategies and programs.
  • Conduct in-depth market analyses to benchmark and ensure competitiveness of our compensation packages.
  • Collaborate with HR partners to design and maintain salary structures, incentive programs, and equity plans.
  • Provide expert guidance to senior leadership on compensation-related matters, including executive pay.
  • Analyze and interpret complex data to make informed recommendations on pay decisions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, legal requirements, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in compensation practices.
  • Conduct job evaluations and maintain accurate job descriptions for various roles.
  • Participate in compensation surveys and ensure our compensation practices remain competitive in the market.
  • Analyzing and manipulating the data you gather to find trends and propose new strategies and structures.
  • Transforming your data findings into actionable summaries and insights for leadership and departments.
  • Working alongside our finance organization to prepare for and execute our annual merit increase cycle.

What You Need to Get the Job Done

  • You have 5-8 years of experience in compensation and a bachelor’s degree in a business or analytical field.
  • You’re an expert  with using Radford and other compensation surveys.
  • You have excellent Excel/Google Sheets skills (some might say it’s “off the charts!”—pun intended).
  • You have a diverse skillset of managing compensation programs from base pay to variable compensation plans to equity plans.
  • You’ve developed a solid foundation of knowledge around base compensation best practices - including pay structures, benchmarking, job leveling, internal equity, market competitiveness, and merit and promotion cycles.
  • You have strong analytical skills - you know how to gather, manipulate, and analyze data to arrive at actionable insights.
  • Relationship-building is your thing - you’re able to develop and maintain trusting partnerships across the whole organization.
  • You have a strong sense of accountability - not only can you meet deadlines, but you’re able to navigate them while pivoting frequently and handling shifting priorities.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.

What Will Make Us REALLY Love You

  • You have prior experience in a compensation-related role at a rapidly growing tech company.
  • You’re not afraid of ambiguity–rolling up your sleeves and building something new is something that you truly love.
  • “Customer focused” might as well be your middle name because you’re deeply committed to improving the lives of other employees through your work.
  • You’re adaptable - you can comfortably shift between high-level design, collaborative projects, and analytical and operational work.
  • You’ve built or worked with sales incentive compensation structures in the past.
  • You have skills in coding or automation (python, mySQL, etc.).

What You'll Love About Us

  • Great Company Culture. We’ve been recognized by multiple organizations like Inc, Salt Lake Tribune, Glassdoor,  & Comparably for our great workplace culture.
  • Make an Impact. We care about your individuality by giving you freedom to grow and create within the company, regardless of your position.
  • Rest and Relaxation. 4 weeks paid time off, 11 paid holidays, and we pay you to go on vacation (ask us about this)!
  • Health Benefits. Medical with HSA and FSA options, dental, and vision.
  • Prepare for the Future. 401(k) with a generous company match, access to a personal financial planner, and both legal and life insurance.
  • Financial Peace University. We pay for a one year subscription and you walk away with financial savvy and a bonus.
  • Give back.  Get paid to give your time to the community: ask us about this!
