Job Description

Serves as the trusted advisor and consultant to the business and HR Consulting function on all matters related to compensation. By remaining up to date on current trends, both internally and externally, is able to proactively address the compensation needs of the organization. Counsels management concerning any identified areas of need with a point of view toward aligning with the talent strategy of the business. Through project oriented work, designs and recommends new and/or improved compensation policies or programs for assigned function or business.

1. Analyzes and maintains knowledge of current compensation programs compared to trends and legislated requirements and is able to proactively apply and convey these to the organization.

2. Serves as an expert resource or go to person for the business and HR Business Partners.

3. Participates in the design and approach to job structure and other related compensation programs.

4. Creates and conducts market data presentations with application to the assigned business or function.

5. Reviews the operation of various facets of the compensation process to assure compliance with

corporate goals and various government regulations.

6. Receives general direction and is competent to work at the highest technical level on all compensation issues.

7. May assist and train other team members.

8. May review work of others.

9. Handles more extensive, high-profile work.

10. Responsible for direct interaction with different committees and/or management.

11. Strategic in developing, implementing and administering HR programs within functional areas.

12. Will participate in and may lead compensation-related projects

Qualifications:• 7 or more years of experience Is a technical expert with in-depth knowledge in area of compensation. • Strong relationship building skills are critical• Commitment and accountability for meeting deadlines are essential to the role• Requires demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and influence at the highest levels of the organization.• Requires strong customer service and communications skills as a consultant to the assigned business unit or function• Requires strong knowledge of other HR areas and assigned business unit.

Requires, strong analytical ability, strong judgment and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with clients and HR management and staff.• Requires ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously • Project management skills are desired
