The Senior Consultant, Core Programs will oversee the development and delivery of core programs with a primary focus on non-advisory Wealth Management roles, including new hire programming, learning paths and ongoing, functional skill development programs or solutions.
This role requires an understanding of the intricacies and interconnectedness of wealth management roles, and the expertise and the ability to consult with all levels of the organization in order to make broad, widely accepted recommendations that result in a wide range of learning and performance support solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Consult with all levels of management to align business requirements into talent development strategy and solutions.
- Lead the development and implementation of foundational and advanced learning programs that support individual and organizational performance, and align with business needs.
- Implement proactive marketing plans to ensure that talent development solutions are communicated effectively across Wealth Management.
- Expertly facilitate the delivery of learning and training solutions; act as a role model for less experienced facilitators.
- Continually assess programs, processes and resourcing model and recommend changes that may impact efficiencies, and improved integration with other programs.
- Consult with immediate team to ensure that deliverables are aligned with business objectives, embraced by key stakeholders, and are easy to use, scalable, and sustainable.
- Communicate the value story regarding talent strategy & development deliverables to partners at all levels.
- Provide comprehensive, in-depth consulting and leadership to team and partners at all organizational levels.
Required skills and knowledge:
- History of forming collaborative and trusting relationships with internal clients and partners.
- Ability to translate broad talent needs into executable, tactical programs that yield measurable results.
- Deep and detailed expertise in multi-program facilitation and solution management.
- Highly effective communication skills that translate to all levels of the organization.
- Capable of providing clear and transparent feedback to others with the goal of performance improvement.
- Strong program management skills; broad knowledge of industry best-practices.
- Innovative problem-solver able to work under time and client pressure and other constraints.
- Relentless attention to detail, high standards and able to consistently produce high quality deliverables.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills; ability to role model and develop same skills in others.
- Expert consulting, influence and negotiation skills; success in working with subject matter experts.
- Capable of identifying, addressing and gaining buy-in for "greater good" organizational needs.
- Ability to approach completion of objectives in an independent and proactive manner.
The successful candidate will benefit from having the following competencies:
- 5-12 years relevant talent development experience; wealth management industry experience preferred.
- Broad functional expertise with success leading through influence and collaboration at all levels.
- Experience designing and/or reengineering processes to gain efficiencies.
- Success managing and executing upon of a diverse portfolio of initiatives and development programs.
- Experience implementing broad talent development solutions that have had a clear impact on the performance and effectiveness of an organization.
- History of consulting with internal clients to identify needs and translate them into solutions.
- Success building cross-functional coalitions to ensure program effectiveness.
- BS/BA or equivalent experience required.
- Travel to other markets may be required.
