Job Overview
- Responsible for bringing Komatsu's brand and sustainability stories to life through strategic content creation and management of the One World One Komatsu online platform. Through the One World online platform, Komatsu employees are encouraged to take sustainable actions that, when done collectively, transform into a global movement to support environmental responsibility. This role directly supports the continued growth of and engagement with the One World platform, driving the creation of content that will encourage employee education and engagement.
- A multi-directional team member:
- This individual serves as the primary content creator and curator for internal and external channels including Komatsu websites and the One World One Komatsu platform, ensuring reactive, proactive and evergreen content is being developed, translated to a channel strategy and measured for success, working closely with sustainability and product leaders throughout the company.
- This individual also serves as the platform manager for Komatsu's One World platform, overseeing the creation and implementation of monthly employee engagement campaigns as well as the related communications to further engage employees to visit the platform on a regular basis.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Creates and oversees annual content calendar for global sustainability content for One World program and platform - developing themes and communicating those for others to contribute.
- Attends monthly One World global team meetings to provide regular updates on platform content, growth and engagement.
- Partners with creative team members (graphic designers, photographers, videographers, editors, animators, etc) to plan visual and auditory content that supports the content calendar and all channel strategies
- Partners with CSR and PR team members to develop thought leadership, editorial and proactive PR content that helps bring to life Komatsu's commitment to sustainability with products, people and community.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English or Communications preferred
- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and to work on cross-functional teams, including with executive leadership
- Comfortable working with global teams. No other language speaking is required but must have experience working with non-native English speakers and targeting non-native English-speaking audiences
- Creative thinker, excited to research, learn and communicate new things
