The Sr. Copywriter is the point person on all written marketing communications. Includes: writing and managing a variety of communications, such as customer, agent, and employee newsletters and magazines, emails, blog posts, and other collateral. Working with our Public Relations firm, they will create or edit "Op Editorials" and articles on behalf of subject matter experts. They demonstrate a strong interest in business writing and can effectively apply Arbella's brand voice, tone, and personality through compelling copy.

The Sr. Copywriter role includes reviewing both marketing materials and technical documents for correct grammar, clarity of written content, spelling, and punctuation, and ensuring that the documents adhere to the company's style guide. This role is also responsible for writing blogs and editing the company's website content. Sr. Copywriter will plan and manage well-defined projects or sub-projects. This includes support of project schedules and budgets, cost tracking, status reporting, project communication, information gathering, coordination and facilitation of meetings, tracking and resolution of issues. They are an engaged self-starter, motivated, have great attention to detail, are willing support colleagues with a variety of marketing and communications work as required, and are eager to grow and learn. Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages various communications and supports marketing initiatives by delivering powerful, action-oriented outcomes for assigned programs to reach agents, customers, consumers, and employees.

  • Demonstrate excellent writing skills and ability to reflect Arbella's brand voice
  • Understand the subtleties and challenges of positioning copy for a variety of audiences
  • Write and manage Trade Winds and Signals, Arbella's digital agent magazines and other agent newsletters and updates
  • Oversees the company's blog and wellness pages on Intranet, Diversity and Inclusion employee newsletter and other copywriting initiatives
  • Be project lead on the coordination on the production of Arbella's annual report
  • Write, edit and publish content for blog on Arbella.com and come up with ideas for new content on a regular basis
  • Manage agent email communications including: maintaining agency list with bi-weekly contact updates, conducting intake meetings with business subject matter experts, scheduling and formatting emails in Constant Contact, quality control, and archiving
  • Agent Learning Center - Support approx. 4-6 live/recorded webinars/year and create self-guided learning modules as needed. Meet regularly with business owners to determine topics for new webinars
  • Social Media: Under the guidance of Marketing and Communications Team Manager, create content [Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter (X)] to support business and branding objectives; participate in bi-weekly calls with PR Agency to brainstorm content; support Marketing & Communications Team Manager with management of social media calendar; community management (promptly responding to questions/complaints and receiving legal/customer service/claim/HR input when necessary); desire to learn how to use our social media listening and publishing tool, Sprinklr
  • Desire to learn and become proficient in technical business tools, including, but not limited to Acquia, our Content Management System and BlueSky, our agent webinar platform
  • Responsible for website content updates, adding/removing content as necessary (including posting press releases)
  • Confidently work face-to-face with agents, underwriters, and employees at all levels, including Arbella's Executive Team
  • Keep consistent copy standards and style
  • Actively participate in weekly public relations calls, weekly in person traffic meetings and all other required meetings
  • Willingness and eagerness to support the department through preparation and participation in agent events and meetings, holiday parties, and sponsorship/partnership events

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, 3+ years of copywriting experience on an active marketing communications team
  • Strong understanding of brand positioning/strategy, corporate marketing, digital and social media
  • Applicable experience writing powerful, action-oriented headlines and marketing copy
  • Must have excellent project management skills and be highly organized
  • Self-starter who enjoys providing support to a dynamic team
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a highly visible and fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to provide a portfolio of writing work

Technical Skills/Knowledge:

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to learn other software as needed
