Sr. Corporate Counsel
Job Description
Ridgeline’s legal team is dedicated to protecting the company’s core values by delivering sound and practical advice to business decision makers. Our first senior GTM attorney will be an innovator who loves guiding entrepreneurial executives on risk, a strong partner to several business functions, and the trusted co-pilot to the Director of Legal, Corporate Secretary.  You will partner most closely with our sales, product and finance teams to design and execute world-class Go-To-Market motions for an exciting high-growth company. You will be highly valued for accelerating revenue and making the legal part of our revenue engine run smoothly and continuously improve.Â
What will you do?
- Accelerate Ridgeline’s revenue growth through strategic process and playbook design
- Enable the sales team on partnering with the legal team through training, relationship management, and execution
- Support customer-facing teams on proper negotiation throughout customers’ complex enterprise purchasing cycles, including negotiation of deal documentsÂ
- Define and influence intake, process, playbooks and escalation criteria
- Assist with the deployment and continuous improvement of contract lifecycle management systems for a complex vertical SaaS business, taking the long view
- Pitch in with other legal matters and functional areas occasionally, in partnership with outside counsel
- Foster the long-term development of our legal team by both building a commercial legal team (taking the long view) and sourcing, organizing and delivering learning and development resources
Preferred Skills and Experience
- 7+ years of in-house commercial legal experience drafting, negotiating and closing enterprise SaaS and other technology contracts
- 3+ years’ experience (a) enabling sales contributors and leaders on partnering with deal attorneys on complex transactions and (b) advising on data classification and related regulatory requirements, such as GDPR and CCPA
- Trustworthy teammate with outstanding judgment and integrity
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate with attorneys, business leaders, and colleagues of varying backgrounds

Compensation and Benefits
The cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $185,000 to $210,000 for individuals based in New York and California. Final compensation amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amount listed above.Â
