Senior Counsel

The ideal candidate for this role will have 3-7 years of commercial legal experience. Applicants should have substantive experience in contract drafting, interpretations and negotiation. Experience with manufacturing supply agreements and intellectual property matters is a strong plus, as is in-house experience. Candidates must be barred in California or otherwise able to practice in-house in California.

This position can be onsite or remote based.

Responsibilities Include:

Supporting the commercial, sales and engineering teams and drafting, reviewing and negotiating vendor agreements, supply, and distribution agreements. 

Participating in contract discussions with commercial and sales teams and supply chain teams. Drafting.

Maintaining templates of agreements and refining contracting workflows.

Managing external counsel and providing advice related to a variety of areas: HR, energy regulatory matters, consumer warranty, and privacy matters.

Delivering advice and providing support on intellectual property matters, including trademarks, for innovation products.

Providing advice regarding other legal matters as they arise.

Assisting the Head of Legal with corporate governance matters, including Board support, recordkeeping and minutes, policies and charters, as well as ESG oversight.
