A DAY IN THE LIFE:

Partners with cross-functional stakeholders to design and implement dashboards and product metrics that can make product-related data and insights more easily available to non-technical stakeholders. Helps business units to make data-driven decisions to improve products through automated use of data and analytics. Supports clinical studies of Tandem's products and analyzes resulting data for publications. Works with team members and Tandem's data assets to evaluate Tandem's products, identify and prioritize opportunities to improve overall product and user experience.

• Collaborates with stakeholders across Tandem's business units to evaluate products and features, develop metrics, implement data visualizations and dashboards
• Uses iterative prototypes to support problem definition and user needs gathering with project teams and product managers
• Supports clinical study design by developing and implementing statistical analysis plans
• Analyzes clinical study results and prepare them for publication
• Creates interactive dashboards and data reports following a disciplined development process
• Trains cross-functional stakeholders on data use and access
• Helps the business measure product experience, outcomes and user experience holistically
• Advises on data instrumentation of products
• Uses data and experimentation to identify and prioritize opportunities to improve overall user experience and product features
• Enables non-technical stakeholders to quickly answer key questions and make better and faster decisions through easy access to data and analytics tools
• Assists in incorporating data from multiple sources including web analytics, mobile analytics, device logs and survey data to present consolidated views of products
• Provides end-user support for dashboard, reports and data troubleshooting.

YOU'RE AWESOME AT:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Technical knowledge of database and reporting tools
• Deep statistical knowledge
• Experience with clinical trial data is beneficial
• Experience with customer data platforms/product analytics services like Segment, Mixpanel or Amplitude
• Experience creating interactive dashboards using tools like Power BI and Tableau.
• Experience performing data analyses using tools such as SQL, Python, or R.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and flexibility to function in a fast paced and innovative environment.
• B.S. in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, etc.
• 5 years' experience working as a data analyst (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
