What Data & Analytics Management contributes to Cardinal Health

The Data & Analytics function oversees the analytics solution lifecycle to identify, analyze and present relevant insights that drive business decisions and anticipate opportunities to achieve a competitive advantage. Senior Data Analysts in this function work with stakeholders to drive analytics automation initiatives, execute strategic projects, and enable RUN analytics support. Individuals in this role may provide direction to Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and/or Data Visualization professionals.

Our Mission is to transform The Strategic Sourcing & Manufacturer Services organization. This organization is a supporting pillar of our Pharmaceutical Distribution business. We support several business units including Strategic Sourcing, Regulatory Science/I&E, Specialty GPO, 3PL, and Patient-Hub business services.

Stakeholder Responsibilities

  • Support Stakeholders by overseeing the development of analytics solutions that create business value, augment decision making and save time for users.
  • Partner with Stakeholders by providing end-to-end analytics and management consultant support to strategic initiatives.
  • Lead Stakeholders to new business opportunities by leveraging internal and external market and operational insights.

  • Become both a technical and business SME of the supported business units.
  • Manage all stakeholder relationships balancing business stability with prioritization of highest value initiatives.
  • Build and execute a Stakeholder Analytics Development Roadmap for the supported business units.
  • Represent Strategic Sourcing & Manufacturer Services in cross-functional digital and analytics initiatives.
  • Conduct Gemba walks, QBRs, Roadshows, and Show & Tells with various levels of business leaders.

  • Drive 'art of possible' sessions for some of the most challenging problems and create a delivery roadmap with a bias towards speed.
  • Prioritize and de-prioritize projects based on business drivers and value delivery.

Team Responsibilities

  • Shape the growth strategy for the Strategy & Analytics Services pillar.
  • Support Cardinal Health's DE&I strategy for attracting and retaining talent.

  • Participate in professional development activities such as Digital U, formal mentorships, and other development programs.
  • Maintain data governance and product ownership development standards. This includes writing effective documentation and participating in solution certification reviews.
  • Lead and/or contribute to internal team development committees.
  • Mentor and invite high-potential talent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of net experience in a related field.
  • Subject-matter expertise in self-service analytics tools (Alteryx, SQL), data visualization tools (Tableau), Cloud Platforms (GCP, AWS), and Scripting Languages (Python, R).

  • Ability to communicate effectively and interact with personnel at all levels of technical ability and expertise.
  • Experience developing creative and innovative analytical insights with high business value.
  • Attention to detail and business acumen, with the ability to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience developing presentations and presenting to senior management.
