This is a “from the ground up” initiative with us engineering a new infrastructure, integration, and analytics platforms to enable impactful Analytics and Business Intelligence capabilities for our org. We are looking for an experienced Sr Data Engineer who will help design, develop, and deliver technology solutions to support these goals.
The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of gathering detailed business requirements, understanding internal and 3rd party data sources, and building effective data engineering solutions (ETL/ELT, data models, data repositories, data marts/data warehouse, ad-hoc result sets).
Key requirements for this role are:
- Expert knowledge of working with SQL/Azure SQL/T-SQL
- Expert at connecting to and combining data from SaaS-based data sources and ERP/CRM systems
- Expert at using various Data Integration techniques and approaches including: ETL/ELT, API and iPaaS
- Expert at setting up data integrations across various environments and data sources and repositories
- Experience with task automation, configuration, and alerts via PowerShell, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, SQL Agent, Data Pipelines
- Working knowledge of Python and/or Spark (preferred but not required)
- Expert with data modeling and aptitude for interpreting data outputs and articulating findings to users. The candidate should be comfortable telling stories with data and helping stakeholders understand what matters and what steps they can take to help their business
- Advanced knowledge of performance monitoring and optimization. Be able to analyze system resource utilization, bottlenecks, and plan platform capacity sizing (activity monitors, traces, query tuning, optimizers, etc)
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to come up to speed quickly on new projects
- AI or ML experience (preferred, but not required)
- Knowledge of either Tableau (preferred) or Power BI
Some of the systems we work with are: Yardi (multiple modules including Voyager, Deal Manager), SQL databases and DW, Smartsheet, HubSpot, DealCloud, various 3rd party data sources.
Rexford Industrial’s reward plan includes highly competitive base salaries, bonus eligibility and long- term stock incentives. The expected annual base salary range for this role is $135,000 to $145,000, a 20% discretionary annual bonus target and stock grant eligibility.* The actual base salary and total compensation offered depend on a variety of factors, which include, without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location where the job will be performed. The final base salary and total compensation will be described in any offer letters.

*These stock grants are subject to approval by the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors, are currently subject to vesting over a four-year period, with 25% of the grant vesting per year, and require continued employment on the grant date and each applicable vesting date.
