Description
The position is responsible to coordinate the collection and production of the data governance metrics. The role interacts with LOBs, other EDM teams and technology teams. The lead is responsible to collect business requirements of the metrics, consolidate and filter for prioritization and establish proper governance of the metrics content.
10+ years of experience in all phases of data modeling, data warehousing, data mining, data entity analysis, logical database design and relational database definition, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus

The lead is responsible to collect business requirements of the metrics, consolidate and filter for prioritization and establish proper governance of the metrics content.
- Gather business requirements and translate into actionable steps for execution
- Gain and maintain trust by communicating clearly and following through reliably
- Assess metrics reporting needs and opportunities
- Develop user-friendly documentation and lead end-user tutorials
- Collaborate with user community and technology community to implement strategic solution
- Provide guidance and training to user community
- Manage and develop staff
- Prioritize team efforts and create collaborative working culture
- Identify metrics business cases through the life cycle of data management and data governance capabilities across prioritized applications, data sets and use cases
- Lead by example using data-driven metrics
- Establish governance forums to properly manage changes and controls
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with diverse audiences
- Appreciation for cultural diversity and difference
- Closed-book expertise in data visualization tools and data modeling
- General understanding of business needs, motivations, and bottom lines
- Bachelor's degree and twelve to fifteen years of directly related professional experience
- Data management, API connectivity, and ETL
- Training in accounting, statistics, data engineering, data science, or computer science
- Knowledge of data governance processes and tools (Collibra, IDQ, issue management & remediation, etc.)
- Competency with some leading data profiling tools (such as SQL, BI tools, etc.)
- Competency with Alteryx, Power BI, SQL and Python, Pentaho, Denodo
- Experience in Data Analysis, Data Architecture and/or Data Warehousing; preferably in a shared or enterprise data environment
- Knowledge of the structuring of data environments and applications that use big data processes is a preferred.
- People management experience
