POSITION DUTIES:
Use data engineering expertise to analyze, design, and develop big data software applications
and data transformation code. Own project tasks and engage in data modeling by authoring DDL
and DML SQL spanning technical tacks. Ingest relational databases, troubleshoot, and provide
code updates. Resolve uncertainties for data engineers. Execute automation strategy. Develop
data ingestion and provisioning pipelines. Ensure delivery of solutions. Collaborate to provide
insight into future opportunities and solution innovations. Tools and technologies used include:
DDL, DML, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Python, REST API, Java, JavaScript, J2EE, Web services,
XML, Scala, Sqoop, Pipewrench, Streamsets, Eclipse, NiFi, Cloudera, AWS, Snowflakes,
Databricks, HDFS, Hive, YARN, HBAs, Solr, Impala, Kudu, and SQL. May require travel to
unanticipated client sites and possible travel for relocation to unanticipated client sites
throughout the United States. Position may include a telecommuting benefit from anywhere in
the United States. Multiple positions open.

REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires at least a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering,
Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field, and at least one (1) year of
experience as a systems or data engineer (any title), including working with ecommerce
technologies and web services; developing and unit testing REST API Web services; and using
Java, web services, JavaScript, J2EE, Eclipse, and XML. May require travel to unanticipated
client sites and possible travel for relocation to unanticipated client sites throughout the United
States. Position may include a telecommuting benefit from anywhere in the United States.

400 South 4th Street, Suite 401, Minneapolis, MN 55415 and unanticipated client sites in the
United States.
