Sr. Data Engineers (2650571)

POSITION DUTIES:
Provide Data Modeling expertise and create Data Definition Language (DDL) and Data
Manipulation Language (DML) SQL spanning technical stacks. Advise, design, and develop
transformation code. Attend Agile ceremonies including daily standups, backlog refinement,
sprint sessions, and retrospectives. Troubleshoot, perform data validation checks, and provide
code updates to company software and automation tools. Ingest relational databases using data
integration and transformation tools. Execute automation strategy to accelerate projects and use
cases. Develop data pipelines and perform data loading. Write unit test cases. Provide visibility
to Sales team and identify opportunities. Mentor new team members. Utilizes: DDL, DHML,
SQL, Fivetran, Mattilion, Sqoop, Streamsets, AWS, Snowflake, Azure, Cloudera, Databricks,
Spark, ElasticSearch, Python, JIRA, Git, Kafka, Java, Pipewrench, PostgreSQL, Tram, Airflow,
Hive, HDFS, Scala, NiFi. May require occasional travel to unanticipated client sites throughout
the United States. Position may include a telecommuting benefit from anywhere in the United
States. Multiple positions open.
REQUIREMENTS:
At least a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related
technical field and at least two (2) years of experience in data engineering or software
development (any title) including analyzing business requirements; building and optimizing big
data pipelines that cleanse, structure, and integrate disparate big data sets; developing with
Python; building and ingesting data into Hadoop data lake; and utilizing at least 5 of the
following tools: Python, Spark, Scala, Kafka, SQL, PostgreSQL, JIRA, Hive, SQOOP, AWS,
Snowflake, Cloudera, Databricks, Pipewrench. May require occasional travel to unanticipated
client sites throughout the United States. Position may include a telecommuting benefit from
anywhere in the United States.
