Rockstar is on the lookout for a talented Data Model Developer who possesses a passion for data and games. This candidate loves a variety of data, context, and business problems; they also want to ensure we collect the best data and produce the best insights for the situation.

This is a full-time permanent position based out of Rockstar’s unique game development studio in the heart of downtown Manhattan or our San Diego studio in Carlsbad, CA.

• The Rockstar Analytics team provide insights and actionable results to a wide variety of stakeholders across the organization in support of their decision making.
• We partner with multiple departments across the company to design and implement data and pipelines.
• We collaborate as a global team to develop cutting-edge data pipelines, data products, data models, reports, analyses, and machine learning applications.

• Design and develop data models, views, and automation processes to optimize exploration and reporting on our data
• Design nested data structures to support structured and semi-structured data
• Design highly-performant normalized data models and modern data models to support advanced analytics
• Build feature stores for Advanced Machine Learning use cases capable of batch level OLAP processes and low-latency key-value stores for real-time use cases.
• Design data feeds for our stakeholders that are optimized, efficient, and scale with an ever-growing game
• Manage schema definitions in a centralized dynamic manner to ensure our Data Scientists have most up-to-date data mappings as title updates, game launches, and patches demand.
• Partner with tech leads to ensure we organize our data in a scalable and expandable way and follow our taxonomy framework
• Work with Data Governance to document business rules, data cleansing, and other relevant transformations of data
• Analyze existing report and team queries for performance improvements or candidates for data models
• Assist in creation of Test cases with QA testing team and stakeholders

• 5+ years of experience developing data warehouses and data models.
• Experience with big data, data modelling, and data architecture required
• Experience working in an Agile Big Data software development Environment
• Understands the Software Development Lifecycle and how Git is used to enable these processes
• Hands-on experience in data requirements and technical requirements gathering, preferably in the following sectors: video games, e-commerce, digital products, digital video, sports, media and entertainment.
• Experience creating cross-functional documentation for multiple stakeholders and teams.
• Good knowledge of Tableau desired.
