Job Description
You perform intermediate hardware testing activities including test architecture design, functional test development, planning, scheduling, cost assessment, and execution under the direction of Project Engineers and Project Managers. You have responsibility for assigned aspects of test within a program including test execution, test troubleshooting, unit troubleshooting, knowledge of lab operations, and maintaining a safe working environment. You also oversee test technicians on assigned projects. You will report to the Manager, Development Test and have a onsite schedule working in Mequon, WI.
Your Responsibilities:
- Contributes to the creation of product functional test plans from product Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS), High Level Design documents (HLDD), and subject matter expert input.
- Contribute to the generation of product test plans including task identification, schedule generation, workforce identification and cost assessment.
- Investigate product problems, with emphasis on hardware product support.
- Must complete design and implementation documentation as specified by the Common Development Processes and associated with the functional process requirements.
- Must thoroughly document notes that explain conceptual thoughts, conditions, restrictions, analysis, synthesis, and test results that serve as justification for test and system design.
- Familiarity with dynamometer operation and testing.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of product and system test set-ups.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Master's degree in a technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of product development or testing experience.
- Familiarity with Rockwell Automation products or other industrial control equipment
- Familiarity with embedded controllers in power conversion equipment.
- Familiarity with appropriate UL, IEC, TUV functional safety, and IEC 17025 requirements
- Proficiency in using test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Power Meters, Data Acquisition equipment and related current and voltage probes.
