Sr. DevOps Engineer

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

The Sr. DevOps Engineer works as an integrated part of a software engineering team with specific focus on facilitating and building automated pipelines for continuous delivery of the team's deliverables with guaranteed production-level quality and supportability.

Job Requirements:

• 3-5 years of Kafka admin experience in managing critical 24/7 applications
  Experience in AWS MSK operations/creation
• Experience in open-source Kafka, Kafka connect, schema registry, KSQL, Rest proxy.
• Experience in Kafka Mirror Maker
• Experience in Kubernetes
• Experience in High availability cluster setup, maintenance and ongoing 24/7 support
• Knowledge of best practices related to security, performance, and disaster recovery.

Duties:

• Manage large scale multi-node Kafka cluster environments residing on AWS
• Perform high-level, day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for the Kafka Cluster.
• Research and recommend innovative solutions, and where possible, automate key administration tasks
• Provide guidance in the creation and modification of standards and procedures
• Proactively monitor and setup alerting mechanism for Kafka Cluster to ensure system health and maximum availability
• Create topics, setup redundancy cluster, deploy management / monitoring tools, alerts
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on production support.
