Sr. DevOps Engineer

Role Summary
Magna New Mobility is looking for a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to help build and support our Cloud Infrastructure and software. The DevOps Engineer will also be responsible for the design, installation, and operation of highly available and secure computing platforms, servers, workstations, and networks. This role will be hybrid in our Boston office or can be based in Troy, Michigan.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintains active relationships with customers to determine business requirements and leads requirements gathering meetings.
• Develops and defines application scope and objectives and prepares technical and/or functional specifications from with programs will be written.
• Performs technical design reviews and code reviews.
• Participates in on-call support and ensures effective monitoring of system.
• Generate handbook for usage of the implemented tool software (components)
• Coordinate integration of 3rd party software such as plug-ins, scripts, etc. according to specification
• Perform other duties as necessary for completion of projects and achievement of departmental goals.
• Ability to build and support CI CD pipelines across cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
• Experience with container services - Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
• Experience working with DNS, DHCP, VPN, LDAP
• Experience with infrastructure and software development tools like Git, Ansible, Jenkins
• Experience with Jira/Confluence
• Solid understanding of cloud tech such as Vpc, Subnets, security groups etc
• Experience with Linux administration, system administration, and network administration

Key Qualifications/Requirements

• Education
• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering / Software Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience
• 7+ years of experience working as Devops engineer.
• 5+ years of experience with Cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP or Azure software environments (e.g., database, data warehouse) as well as web-based interfaces.
• Standard office administrative practices and procedures
• Change management and problem resolution processes.
