Sr. DevOps Engineer -- Remote

The customer administers the nation’s lawful immigration system, safeguarding its integrity and promise by efficiently and fairly adjudicating requests for immigration benefits while protecting Americans, securing the homeland, and honoring our values. Quality and Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) Services for Delivery.  This organization is the evolution of two programs and two task orders supporting those programs: Delivery Quality Assurance and Testing Services and Integration Testing and DevOps.

Provide assessment of conformance to agile and Development, Security and Operations (DevSecOps) practices and pipelines, including highly technical design, tools, code, and test review activities.  These teams perform various testing and DevSecOps services, including end-to-end integration testing, performance testing, Security Testing, Vulnerability testing, interoperability/ compatibility testing, machine learning, artificial intelligence integration in the pipeline and testing process, and robotic test automation.  To aid or enable OIT product/portfolio teams to build and continually improve the quality of products and speed of their delivery by implementing advanced DevSecOps with machine learning and testing techniques, technology, tools and solutions

Required Skills:

• BS/BA preferably in Technical area Computer Science or Information Technology
• 6+ years of experience

Desired Skills:

• Hands on knowledge on DEVSECOPS engineer with coverage across all these areas; installation, configuration, development, and maintenance 
• Spring Boot/Java
• Typescript/React/Angular
• Kubernetes/CICD/Jenkins/AWS-EKS
• Kafka
• Full-stack development
• Helm
• Experience using a wide variety of open source and COTS technologies and tools
• Experience in providing Analysis of Alternatives for tools and capabilities from various on premise, Cloud-based, and hybrid resources
• Solid understanding of and experience implementing and integrating CI/CD Tools from the ground up, such as Atlassian (JIRA and Confluence), Github, Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory, Docker, Kubernetes, Selenium, SonarQube, Gatling, JMeter, JUnit, AMP, aChecker, Jaws, Netsparker, OWASP ZAP, Tenable Nessus, Splunk, Prometheus, CloudWatch, New Relic, Grafana. Includes experience with Docker containerized application deployment and monitoring, cluster management
• Strong background working in an agile development environment, collaborating with Application Development and Architecture Teams
• Comfortable writing deployment scripts in languages such as React, Python, Shell, AWS Cloud Formation, Groovy, and Golang
• Strong grasp of automation tools (e.g., Cloudwatch, Lamdba, GitOps, Cloud Formation, Terraform, etc.,
• US Citizenship Required/Background Investigation required
