Sr. DevOps Engineer -- Remote

The customer administers the nation’s lawful immigration system, safeguarding its integrity and promise by efficiently and fairly adjudicating requests for immigration benefits while protecting Americans, securing the homeland, and honoring our values. Quality and Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) Services for Delivery.  This organization is the evolution of two programs and two task orders supporting those programs: Delivery Quality Assurance and Testing Services and Integration Testing and DevOps.

Requires experience with open source and COTS technologies to configure and development these tools based on requirements from the customer. Candidate must have demonstrated ability to configure plug-ins or integrate CI/CD Tools from the ground up while being comfortable writing code or deployment scripts in languages like React and Python. Candidates must have experience in developing CI/CD pipelines that target production kubernetes deployments, as well as have strong capabilities at maintaining and supporting HA containerized applications.

Provide assessment of conformance to agile and Development, Security and Operations (DevSecOps) practices and pipelines, including highly technical design, tools, code, and test review activities.  These teams perform various testing and DevSecOps services, including end-to-end integration testing, performance testing, Security Testing, Vulnerability testing, interoperability/ compatibility testing, machine learning, artificial intelligence integration in the pipeline and testing process, and robotic test automation.  To aid or enable OIT product/portfolio teams to build and continually improve the quality of products and speed of their delivery by implementing advanced DevSecOps with machine learning and testing techniques, technology, tools and solutions.

Required Skills:

• BS/BA preferably in Technical area Computer Science or Information Technology
• 8+ years of experience
• Hands on knowledge on DEVSECOPS engineer with coverage across all these areas; installation, configuration, development, and maintenance
• Knowledge of the technology stack:
  • Container orchestration (Openshift and Kubernetes)
  • Container platforms (Docker)
  • Java development
  • Database development and modeling
  • Low-level formation
  • Configuration of software tools
  • USCIS preferred programming language and framework of choice: Java and Spring Boot (OAuth / Spring Security)
  • CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins)
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Must be able to lead in assessing and architecting interfaces with the DevSecOps teams
• US Citizenship Required/Background Investigation required
