Managers of people from multiple families within the function. Owns/influences budgets and operating plans. The role is guided by operating policy. Works with cross functional teams. The role has autonomy within the operational area or a segment within a larger business unit. The role may have a major impact on a small business unit or Family within a Function or P&L. High levels of evaluative judgment and operational acumen are required to achieve outcomes.

Job Description

  • End-to-end supply chain leader for PCS sub-segment. End to end supply chain involves the entire integrated process - from product design to final delivery of finished product to the customer.
  • Takes a holistic view of the sub-segment supply chain to drive improved customer experience and process efficiency by ensuring visibility across the entire supply chain.
  • Takes a vested interest in what happens after the goods leave the plant work to identify opportunities to shorten the lead-time from shipment to revenue recognition.
  • Manage master planning, material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs. Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs. Optimize inventory and process improvements.
  • Requires specialized knowledge within the function. Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.
  • Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.
  • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
  • May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.
  • Has the ability to attract and retain talent. Often manages medium to large teams. Developing expertise in own function. May include roles that are experts in their discipline, providing professional or thought leadership . Influences policy and ensures delivery within area of responsibility, linking with other parts of the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Supply Chain or Operations
  • Ability to travel ~ 25%
  • Will need a consultative mindset and experience working with a broad and diverse team of stakeholders.
