The Role

The GoGuardian marketing team is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Director of Customer Marketing to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our customer marketing strategies, driving customer engagement, and fostering customer advocacy. We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of lifecycle marketing and customer advocacy programs, with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and implement customer lifecycle programs that maximize customer onboarding, drive product usage and satisfaction, nurture customer loyalty, and establish referral programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product, and Customer Success to ensure alignment in marketing strategies and customer-focused initiatives that drive MAUs, retention, and renewal goals.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, preferences, and trends, and integrate insights into marketing campaigns and programs.
  • Design and implement a customer journey..
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of customer marketing programs, and provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key customers, influencers, and advocates to drive customer loyalty and advocacy.
  • Champion the customer-centric mindset within the organization and ensure that the customer is at the center of every decision and action.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to design and implement a customer journey, to guide program strategies to connect with our customer in the right place, at the right time, with the right message.
  • Partner within the Marketing team to develop a customer-centric messaging, content, and collateral across various channels and touchpoints.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in customer marketing, and proactively apply relevant knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team, providing guidance, support and professional development opportunities.
  • Partner cross-functional to influence key strategies with stakeholders across the company.

Who You Are

  • 12+ years of experience in customer marketing, lifecycle marketing, or related roles, preferable within the education technology or SaaS industries.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful customer marketing strategies and programs that drive customer engagement, loyalty, and advocacy.
  • Strong understanding of customer lifecycle stages and best practices in customer onboarding, product adoption, and referral programs.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data and insights to make informed decisions and drive marketing effectiveness.
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and influencers. 
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and driven to continuously improve customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated alignment with GoGuardian’s customer value of “Think Customer First” and a commitment to putting customers at the center of every decision and action.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present ideas and influence stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

The typical base salary range for this position is $204,000 - $235,000 plus variable pay per year. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire base pay for this position and your pay will be determined by a variety of factors, including your primary work location, skills, qualifications and experience.
